Decorative ornament has no place in his work, he finds beauty in perfected engineering solutions that primarily serve function, giving the resulting form extraordinary durability even within extremely subtle structures. He shares his know-how as a lecturer at UMPRUM in Prague, helping to educate the next generation of designers.

Michal Malášek stands at the very roots of Master & Master. He designed our first-ever products—a collection of steel table bases (such as Diamond or Reverse) that remain the technical and visual foundation of our range to this day.
